Senior Financial Data Analyst (Healthcare/Revenue Cycle) Position Type:

Preference for candidates based in Birmingham, AL, though open to those within a 3-4 hour drive from the office. Salary:
$70,000 - $83,000 with 10% BONUS ***Please note that the role specifically requires expertise in data or financial analytics. Ideally, candidates should have a solid understanding of, or prior exposure to, general ledger (GL) accounting and revenue cycle operations within the healthcare industry.*** Duties and Responsibilities: Perform facility-related revenue accounting activities within prescribed time schedules and guidelines. Perform and summarize revenue and accounts receivable variance analysis. Field and assess ad-hoc requests, producing clear and concise reports for stakeholders. Leverage subject matter expertise to provide guidance and instruction to key stakeholders through the development, implementation, and maintenance of operational reports and dashboards. Mentor revenue analyst(s), developing a knowledge base within the team and serving as a revenue specialist in the identification and resolution of facility-related and/or enterprise revenue accounting issues and questions. Assist management with the design and operation of revenue controls. Partner with key stakeholders to meet strategic company objectives. Assess, develop, and document solutions to complex problems by applying acute business knowledge, skills, and experience. Summarize and communicate proposed solutions with the appropriate audiences in a manner tailored to their understanding, level, or experience. Leverage process and international teams to drive quality and scalability within Revenue Integrity. Soft Skills/Personality Requirements: An analytical mindset is essential, ideally with a background in finance or data analysis and exposure to general ledger accounting. Candidates with solely accounting-focused experience may not align, as this role emphasizes financial data analysis rather than traditional accounting tasks. Comfortable with difficult conversations and confident in asking questions. Thrives in a diverse team setting; candidates who are overly reserved may struggle. Independent worker with the ability to self-manage without constant oversight. While training and guidance are provided, the manager does not have the bandwidth for micromanagement. Best Experience: Exposure to the healthcare industry is highly preferred, particularly in areas like revenue cycle, billing, collections, or coding. However, direct experience in billing and collections is not required, as the role focuses on working with data related to this information. Strong background in working with large data sets and presenting findings to finance. Essential Requirements: Strong

experience being a plus (but not mandatory—it can be taught). Experience in
AR Valuations
and exposure to
Diligence & Integration . Tableau / PowerBI
experience is highly preferred, especially with large data sets. Familiarity with
PeopleSoft
is a plus but can be learned on the job. Familiarity with
SOX controls
and involvement in high-level processes during critical periods like year-end close (through January). Experience in building and executing transition plans for financial close processes. Experience leading analysis function, collaborating closely with data owners. Education:
Bachelor’s degree required.
