The Opportunity:

To meet increased demand, we are looking to recruit a senior or principal ecologist (approx. 5-8 yrs experience) into our Head Office in Stoke-on-Trent, where there is an established team of 12 ecologists.

In this exciting role you will:

Manage and support the delivery of projects;

Prepare project proposals;

Mentor junior staff in the field;

Lead protected species surveys;

Compile, analyse, evaluate and interpret survey data;

Design protected species mitigation and prepare mitigation licences;

Produce and contribute to complex technical reports including Ecological Impact Assessments, Biodiversity Net Gain Assessments and others;

Develop project/financial management skills;

Be taught the necessary skills for you to advance your career in ecology.

As the successful candidate you will:

Have four or more continuous years of experience within ecological consultancy;

Hold a degree in ecology or a related discipline;

Hold, or be eligible for, ‘associate member’ status, or higher, of CIEEM;

Be able to work effectively as part of a team;

A full UK driving licence.

For all positions we offer:

1.5x pay for work carried out during unsocial hours (10pm – 6am);
