Head of PMO
, you will be a key leader within the EPR Programme Team, responsible for overseeing the successful delivery of our state-of-the-art EPR system in collaboration with our supplier. You will ensure robust governance, effective management, and strategic alignment of multiple projects, helping us elevate care for our patients and enhance operational efficiency. Main duties of the job
Key Responsibilities: Develop, implement, and maintain methodologies, policies, and procedures to manage the EPR Programme. Coordinate and manage complex project plans, optimising resources and ensuring seamless delivery. Provide senior programme management support, guiding project managers and ensuring adherence to EPR standards. Deputise for the EPR Programme Director when required. Lead effective communication and engagement with clinicians, staff, patients, and external partners. Oversee risk management and ensure continuous progress monitoring and reporting to senior leadership. Foster a culture of continuous improvement and champion data-driven decision-making. Manage programme budgets, ensuring cost-efficient delivery and regulatory compliance. Implement change management strategies to support the successful adoption of the EPR system. Master’s Degree or equivalent experience Evidence of continuing professional development through short courses or postgraduate training. Major Incident Command training Advanced Certification in Project/Programme Management (e.g., PgMP, MoP Practitioner) Experience
Proven managerial and leadership experience at a senior level within the NHS A track record of leadership, performance improvement and organisational change Significant experience of leading and managing multidisciplinary teams, including conflict resolution Experience of planning and managing risk Experience of strategic thinking and planning Experience of working in a fast-moving and unpredictable environment Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale complex projects/programmes Experience in Financial Planning and Budget Management for Large Programmes Experience in Benefits Realisation Management Experience in Large-scale EPR or Healthcare IT Implementations Experience of engaging at Board level, using motivational and persuasive skills, to gain and maintain “buy-in” to changes Skills
