To provide services at a wide variety ofsites including a patients home, clinics, GP practices, community hospitals andin challenging conditions, often working in isolation. The post holder will beexpected to work as part of a multidisciplinary team when required and act as asource of advice to patients, carers, GPs and other Health Care Professionals. To manage clinical risk within ownpatient caseload seeking guidance as appropriate. To ensure all patients are appropriatelyassessed prior to referring to the assistant grade. To undertake diagnostic procedureseffectively using appropriate equipment e.g. wound swabs, Doppler ultrasound.Competently interpret, record, report and act on the results. To be proficient in comprehensiveneurological and vascular assessments, wound debridement, advanced pathologyand wound management e.g. dressing selection.
