Operations Analysts at InsurX cover a very wide breadth of tasks and responsibilities. We want to nurture talent and get you involved with the parts of the business you’re most excited about. Our core responsibilities, however, are: Day-to-day trading of risks with brokers through our Exchange platform Development of effective relationships with brokers across the market to attract new flow to the Exchange and increase InsurX’s share of portfolio with our existing broker partners Gathering and presenting insights from our own datasets, as well as anecdata from our insurer and broker partners, to widen the scope of risks and add new verticals to the Exchange Developing and maintaining applications & tooling to manage new products & processes – the Ops team is the owner of “the new” at InsurX. Product launches are led by the Ops team, and we often mock up the v1 prototypes of new products or changes to our existing applications to increase InsurX’s capabilities Developing analytics to surface the health of the end-to-end operations of our Exchange as well as to provide insights to our insurer and broker partners Collaborating with every team across the business to understand how we can deliver further value to our customers, level-up InsurX’s capabilities on the whole, and gain hands-on experience launching new products and verticals About you
We’re building a multidisciplinary, self-propelled Ops team. We’re looking for bright generalists who also have a “second hat” – whether you’re a pure operator, have a flair for product, love wrangling data, or simply live for sales. We’re building our team out around our strengths and weaknesses, and we want to continue stitching together the patchwork of our Ops team’s capabilities. We think someone who is a good candidate for the role fits most of the below: Strong organisational skills, high attention to detail, and unafraid of asking when you need help (we’re dealing with $MM transactions!) Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to effectively work cross-functionally with the rest of team InsurX, as well as with external stakeholders and customers at a senior level Capable of establishing and nurturing strong relationships with brokers and underwriters to help InsurX deliver further value to our customers Comfortable in a fast-paced environment. You’ll own projects and key customer relationships from the get-go An analytical mindset & proactive problem solver – whatever your flavour of problem Previous Ops, Sales/Account Management, Product, or Data experience is a plus!
