This post isan ideal opportunity for someone with a passion for improving quality andexperience of care through integrated partnership working with colleaguesacross the WY footprint as part of a consolidated WY quality team and withsystem partners in Kirklees. Thepost holder will provide senior quality-related expertise and support to theKirklees place-based partnership, identifying and using a range of qualitymetrics and intelligence to assess existing quality standards, develop newones, identify quality risks and support escalation and improvement whereappropriate. Thepost holder will work autonomously with a wide variety of internal andexternal partners and will have responsibility and oversight for the deliveryand reporting of diverse quality improvement and assurance initiatives tosupport delivery of the Integrated Care Boards quality and safety agenda andthe operational plans within place based partnerships. Therole will include working with a variety of health and social care providersacross place-based partnerships to ensure the quality and safety ofcommissioned services. This includes working closely with senior colleagueswithin the Integrated Care Board, place-based partnerships and localauthorities to support the integration of the quality agenda across healthand social care. This includes quality surveillance, assurance andimprovement, ensuring it is embedded in all elements of the commissioning cycle. About us

Act as a point of expertise and knowledgeresource on all aspects of quality and lead portfolio specific qualityimprovement work streams To liaise with quality leads at a strategic level in provider and partnershiporganisations to ensure any clinical quality issues are escalated andresolved as appropriate To present the professional expertise on a range of highly complex and/orcontentious information regarding the quality and safety of commissionedservices to place-based Quality and Partnership Committees, West YorkshireQuality Lead Meetings, West Yorkshire System Quality Group, other place basedforums, formal meetings with providers. Provide appropriate challenge in linewith quality surveillance processes, using a high level of communication andinterpersonal skills in a protentional hostile or antagonistic atmosphere. Topresent sensitive, complex or occasionally contentious information relatingto quality assurance to members of the public, voluntary sector groups andpatient groups in a mann Person Specification

Experience

Significant prior experience of working within a quality-related function Experience of leading/significant involvement in QI projects and methodologies Experience of leading and managing staff Experience of communicating and engaging effectively with external partners and stakeholders Experience of working in the NHS Experience of using quality performance management/improvement systems and processes Understanding and knowledge of the workings of the NHS, the challenges it faces and of the reform agenda Qualifications

Masters degree level in relevant subject or equivalent level qualification or significant experience of working at a similar level in specialist area supported by evidence of professiona Clinical Professional registered with one of NMC, HCPC or GPC Quality Improvement Qualification/ evidence of study Evidence of ongoing related personal and professional development Patient Safety Qualification/evidence of study Skills & behaviours

Excellent relationship building and communication skills. Think conceptually, recognising assumptions, interpreting and evaluating arguments and deducing inferences Think analytically; anticipating obstacles and thinking ahead; using analytical techniques to identify several solutions. Demonstrable leadership skills including negotiation, persuasion, influencing and conflict resolution Provide, receive, convey, and present information in a clear way Computer literate with an ability to use the required systems / Microsoft IT office packages. Planned and organised approach with an ability to prioritise their own workload to meet deadlines Exercise independent judgement where appropriate and problem solve Undertake evaluation using criteria, including best practice to ensure areas for improvement are identified.
