The Department of Paediatrics and Kellogg College at the University of Oxford intend to appoint to the Little Princess Trust Professorship of Paediatric Oncology, a newly endowed chair made possible by a generous donation from The Little Princess Trust. This role provides an extraordinary opportunity to advance paediatric oncology, specifically targeting the design and acceleration of innovative treatments for childhood cancers.

Applications are invited from both clinical and non-clinical scientists.

This professorship holds critical importance for the Department of Paediatrics, as the appointee will play a pivotal role in advancing paediatric oncology in the years to come. The department seeks an academic with an exceptional record of research and leadership who will lead in developing a robust therapeutics program in paediatric oncology and in fostering Oxford's cancer research focus. The role involves supporting fellow researchers in achieving their potential through collaboration, mentorship and guidance, while also promoting the department's commitment to rigorous, innovative, reproducible, and open science.

The successful candidate will contribute to leading-edge medical research within a stimulating environment, supported by highly motivated experts in both basic and clinical sciences across Oxford's Medical Sciences Division. In alignment with the Department of Paediatrics and Kellogg College's dedication to diversity and inclusion, applications are particularly welcomed from groups underrepresented in senior university roles, including women, people of colour, and disabled individuals from varied backgrounds.
