The Role: We are seeking an experienced Cyber Security Engineer to join our growing team. The successful candidate will be instrumental in implementing and maintaining cybersecurity measures for our clients, with a particular focus on achieving and maintaining Cyber Essentials and Cyber Essentials Plus accreditations.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and vulnerability analyses for client systems. Lead and support the Cyber Essentials and Cyber Essentials Plus accreditation processes, ensuring clients meet the necessary compliance standards. Develop and implement cybersecurity strategies, including policies, procedures, and technical controls. Monitor and manage security tools and systems to detect and respond to threats effectively. Provide expert guidance to clients on best practices for securing their IT infrastructure. Stay up to date with emerging cyber threats, trends, and regulatory changes to ensure our solutions remain cutting-edge. Collaborate with other teams to deliver holistic IT support and security solutions. Conduct security awareness training and workshops for clients and internal teams.
Essential Skills & Experience: Proven experience in cybersecurity within an MSP or IT services environment. In-depth knowledge of Cyber Essentials and Cyber Essentials Plus frameworks, including hands-on experience guiding organisations through the accreditation process. Strong understanding of information security standards and regulations, such as GDPR, ISO 27001, and NIST. Proficiency in using cybersecurity tools and technologies (e.g., SIEM, firewalls, vulnerability scanners). Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate security risks effectively. Strong communication and interpersonal skills for client interaction and collaboration. Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CISSP, CISM, or CEH are highly desirable.
