Teacher of Geography Sutton Coldfield, Birmingham Start date January 2025 Full-time, long-term This is a great opportunity for a passionate, creative and dynamic teacher to join a mainstream Secondary School in Sutton Coldfield, Birmingham, as a Geography Teacher. The full-time role starts in January 2025 and the school is looking to hold interviews immediately. The successful candidate would be working across both KS3 and KS4, teaching Geography to GCSE Level. Your role is to help students achieve excellent results in Geography, whilst applying a positive and enthusiastic approach. The Senior Leadership Team and the Head of Department will offer excellent support and will provide an encouraging and supportive environment. TeacherActive has a long-standing relationship with the school and a proven track record in delivering the right candidate for each role. There may be an opportunity for the role to become permanent for the right teacher. Applicants need to have the following: QTS with Humanities specialism At least 12 months teaching Geography up to KS4 Excellent classroom management Good communication skills A real desire to make a positive difference to the pupils that you work with Ability to fulfil all aspects of a full teaching role (planning, marking, attending staff meetings, attending parents evenings etc.) Successful applicants will be required to complete an enhanced DBS disclosure and provide at least 2 educational based references to be considered for this role All our supply staff are paid on a PAYE basis, so you can rest assured that you re paying the right level of Tax and National Insurance.
