This is an exciting time to join our client - a growing Top 20 Mid tier CA Firm, who seek to recruit an enthusiastic, client-focused Accounts Assistant Manager to join their Edinburgh team. EXCELLENT ROLE/CLIENT VARIETY, SCOPE TO FURTHER DEVELOP, HYBRID WORKING WITH COMPETITIVE SALARY & GOOD BENS PKGE WITHIN A SUPPORTIVE, WORK/LIFE BALANCE TEAM CULTURE FIRM Main Responsibilities: To undertake preparation of statutory financial statements, outsourcing functions at clients and preparation of statutory accounts, ensuring deadlines and proper accounting standards are met. Review and agree draft budgets. Delegate, supervise and review work of seniors and juniors, ensuring the file is complete and all review points addressed before it is passed to the Partner or Manager. Liaise with clients directly or through relevant manager to resolve queries or obtain further information. Review draft CT computations and draft financial statements. Assist in the completion of advisory work. Monitor work in progress and budgets on all jobs within the portfolio, communicating any potential problems and write-offs to the Partners or Managers on a timely basis. Ideal Person: Fully ACCA or CA/ACA qualified. Experience with demonstrable knowledge of producing year-end financial statements, management accounts and completing VAT returns from another UK Accountancy Firm. Strong IT skills including Excel with knowledge of cloud-based accounting systems such as Xero preferred but not essential. Excellent communication, organisational and client skills. Client-focused.
