If so, AstraZeneca might be the one for you! Our R&I Biometrics team is dedicated to the development of innovative treatments for Respiratory and Immunology (R&I) diseases. You will join a global, diverse and cross-functional environment where you will get personal and professional development. About the role: Leads and directs a team of programmers to ensure portfolio delivery Leads capacity management while driving recruitment and skill development by providing training and mentorship Accountable for the quality and compliance with internal, external, and regulatory requirements for the delivery of programming aspects in clinical development Holds partners and providers accountable for the quality of their deliverables Provides strategic, scientific, and programming advice and expertise to the team Leads and contributes to improvement and organizational initiatives within and outside of the function Employs all project management practices in managing drug or technical projects (including risk management) Maintains expertise in the latest industry and regulatory requirements to stay current with programming practices Accountabilities: In this role, you will provide input into the strategy for the programming function, offer strategic, scientific, and programming advice to the team, and define programming strategic direction for implementation of statistical programming aspects of the clinical development program/s. You will also lead, manage, and develop a group of programmers, providing guidance and mentorship. Essential Skills/Experience: Degree in Mathematics (i.e., Applied Math, Engineering, etc.), Statistics, Computer Science, Life Science, or equivalent experience Proven programming leadership experience including input to functional strategies, hiring and nurturing talent, and risk management in global organizations Thorough knowledge of the clinical development process, regulatory requirements, and industry standards Ability to influence relevant stakeholders and global teams Excellent problem-solving and conflict resolution skills Desirable Skills/Experience: Experience working in the Respiratory or Immunology therapeutic area Demonstrated experience designing and implementing business processes Willingness and ability to travel SO, WHAT’S NEXT?
