Short term supply position, full-time

A large, well-respected mainstream secondary school in Worcester is looking for a Head of Year (non-teaching) to join the school's wider Pastoral Team in January 2025 on a short-term, full-time basis.

Your role will be to assist and support Key Stage 3 and 4 students with behavioral challenges and social, emotional, and mental health needs.

To be successful in this role, you will need to show a commitment and enthusiasm to work with young children and their families, have knowledge of safeguarding policies and procedures, a confident and positive approach, the ability to uphold the school's behavioral policy, excellent behavioral management skills, and excellent communication skills.

This is a full-time, temporary post.

Key Responsibilities:

Working closely with the school's SENDCo and wider teaching team Provide 1-1 and small group support to students who have challenging behavior Be proactive with encouraging and enforcing the school's behavioral policy Promoting student well-being Encouraging learning Supporting in Inclusion when needed Helping students to overcome barriers to learning Providing general classroom cover when required
