Your new firm This highly regarded and directory rated Top 100 national firm has an impressive presence in the construction sector and is currently looking to recruit a junior Contentious Construction lawyer to join their Bristol team.

Your new role With a broad ranging practice providing comprehensive contentious and non-contentious advice, this team has a diverse client base spanning the housing, local authority, education, renewable energy, infrastructure, rail, highways, and registered provider sectors.

The team advises on a broad range of issues ranging from energy and waste projects to major development and regeneration schemes, and have enjoyed acting on some high profile and sector shaping matters that have recently made it to the Court of Appeal.

Having been enjoying sustained growth in their instructions, they are now keen to hire a junior Contentious Construction lawyer for the multi-office team.

What you'll need to succeed You will be a recently qualified contentious construction lawyer with an excellent contentious construction skillset (though experience of providing non-contentious advice would be beneficial) and have worked for a leading construction team.

Experience of advising clients in the public sector would be a distinct advantage, though large scale private sector experience would be of interest too. You will be used to developing strong client relationships and have a solid network in the construction industry.

What you'll get in return This is a fantastic career opportunity for an ambitious and skilled junior construction solicitor looking to join a growing and successful team.

Joining a close-knit and supportive team, you will have the opportunity to work alongside industry leaders and continue to invest in your construction career.

With an extremely flexible approach to flexible working, this is a great opportunity that would suit full or part-time lawyers, and those already in the Southwest or those looking to relocate to the Southwest in the future.

What you need to do now If you are interested in applying for this position or would like further details, please contact Sheldon Carlisle in complete confidence at Hays.
