The Firm: Cornell Search are working with a leading Private Equity firm that invests in small entrepreneurial businesses with significant growth potential throughout the UK. With a strong track record of supporting management teams through growth capital and buyout investments, the firm is known for its ability to identify and back high-growth businesses. The Opportunity: Cornell are seeking an ambitious, experienced investment professional to join our client's growing investment team. The successful candidate will play a key role in sourcing, evaluating, and managing investment opportunities in the UK, supporting the firm's mission to drive growth and create value in their portfolio companies. Key Responsibilities: Identify and source potential investment opportunities through market research, networking, and direct outreach. Assist in the structuring and negotiation of investment deals. Work closely with legal and financial advisors to ensure smooth transaction execution. Support portfolio companies in achieving their growth objectives through strategic and operational guidance. Assist in the preparation of board materials and participate in board meetings as required. Conduct market and industry research to identify trends, competitive dynamics, and potential investment sectors. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field. 2-4 years of experience in private equity, investment banking, management consulting, or a related finance role. Experience in the UK lower mid-market is a strong advantage. Strong financial modelling, analytical, and valuation skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
