The post-holder will supervise two psychiatry trainees ST4-6 and CT1-3 trainees once they have taken up the substantive role from the next trainee rotation. Prior to a trainee doctor being allocated, there will be locum agency or trust appointed doctors in these 2 posts to ensure safe service provision and continuity of care. The post-holder will work alongside another full-time consultant psychiatrist in the team. Division of the caseload is according to GP practice and is proportionate to the hours/PAs worked.
The total caseload for the team stands at around 450 patients. The post-holder, alongside with consultant colleague in the team, also provides clinical input to the Enfield Wellbeing Clinic, whose caseload for the south of the Borough is around 300 patients, normally seen by the junior doctors in the team.
