Principal Teacher - Fair Isle Primary School Are you passionate about teaching, learning and inclusion with the skills, confidence and energy to make a positive impact on the lives of our children and young people in the Shetland Islands? An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated Principal Teacher to join our team at our excellently resourced Fair Isle Primary School. Fair Isle Primary School is a non-denominational school located in Fair Isle. It provides ELC (preschool) to Primary 7 education for children from Fair Isle. The structure of the school is 1 ELC class and 1 multi-composite primary class. There are currently 2 pupils in the school and there will be 1 pupil in the nursery shortly. The school is managed by a shared Head Teacher. The current staffing complement is 1 supply teacher, assisted by 1 clerical member of staff, 1 supervisory assistant and instructors to meet school demands. Candidates should detail in their application whether they currently hold registration with the General Teaching Council for Scotland (GTCS). If not, candidates should detail in their application whether they have sought confirmation that they will be able to be registered with the GTCS. As well as the relevant qualifications and experience, qualities we are looking for in the successful candidate are: vision, energy, initiative, good communication skills and self-discipline.
