School Site Manager/Caretaker
to work part-time in school starting in January 2025. The successful candidate will be responsible for: Carrying out periodic inspections of the assigned site or premises to the given routine/schedule. Carrying out health and safety checks, maintaining and submitting records. Complying with all policies relating to health and safety, security, and confidentiality. Allocating and checking work of colleagues as required. Assisting with the performance and attendance of staff. General site-wide duties e.g., monitoring supplies, completing order sheets, undertaking specific disposal and cleaning procedures. Overseeing the cleaning team to ensure high levels of cleanliness within the school building and grounds. Demonstrating experience of undertaking general cleaning duties and an awareness of health and safety. Carrying out cleaning, handy person activities, routine maintenance, and minor repairs. Maintaining the general school premises, furniture, and fittings, and reporting any issues to the Head Teacher/SBM. Carrying out small repairs and DIY projects. Exhibiting good interpersonal skills to protect the school's interests in dealing with contractors and other visitors to the site.
