School Business Manager £20.00 - £25.00 per hour

Role Overview: As a School Business Manager, you will take responsibility for the financial, operational, and administrative management of the school, ensuring that the school runs smoothly and efficiently. You will support the Headteacher and the leadership team in achieving the school's vision and strategic goals. This role is integral to the smooth functioning of the school and requires a proactive, solution-focused approach. You MUST BE willing to work on a TEMPORARY basis and between the hours of 8:00 a.m. & 4:30 p.m. There will be full-time and part-time positions available throughout the school year which run for a variety of time periods. Key Responsibilities: Lead the management of the school's financial resources, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting. Oversee the effective deployment of the school's physical resources, including premises management and facilities. Manage school staff payroll, recruitment, and HR-related matters. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, policies, and procedures, including health and safety, safeguarding, and data protection. Work closely with the Headteacher and Governors to support the strategic development of the school. Manage school income generation, including fundraising, grants, and external funding opportunities. Lead the school's operational risk management, ensuring robust policies and procedures are in place. Oversee the school's administrative functions, including IT systems, procurement, and communication. Essential Skills and Qualifications: A relevant professional qualification (e.g., CIMPSA, ACA, ACCA, or similar) or significant experience in school business management. Strong knowledge and experience of financial management, budgeting, and forecasting within a school or educational setting. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Experience in facilities management and premises health and safety. Ability to work under pressure, with excellent time management and organizational skills. A proactive approach to problem-solving and strategic thinking. Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures. YOU WILL BE REQUIRED TO FULLY REGISTER WITH US INCLUDING PROVIDING RIGHT TO WORK DOCUMENTS ALONG WITH OBTAINING AN ENHANCED CHILD WORKFORCE DBS THAT WILL BE PROCESSED BY US BUT COME AT A COST OF £47.20 (UNLESS YOU ALREADY HAVE ONE REGISTERED ON THE UPDATE SERVICE).
