Senior Quantity Surveyor

to work on their South West Water Frameworks. Ideally, you will be based in or around the Cornwall or Devon area and will have the opportunity to travel across multiple sites/projects in the region, typically looking after water contracts from GBP3m - GBP30M+. Typical projects will include:

Water Treatment Works New Tanks Related Infrastructure Works A bit about the position

Commercially responsible from take off through to Final Accounts, ensuring the budgeted financial goals are achieved. Ensure robust risk management principles are instilled, as well develop the commercial team. Full management of cost control, contract/change management and an unwavering focus on maintaining a cash positive position. Actively participate in pre-construction and tendering activities by reviewing prices and protecting the business by identifying onerous terms in contracts. Responsible for overseeing material and subcontract procurement and ensuring the correct governance is applied and ensure that monthly CVRs and commercial reports are accurately reported to the required deadlines. Managing progress and risk reduction meetings, producing, submitting, and agreeing monthly applications to the Client and presenting detailed monthly reports and Cost Value Reconciliations (CVR) and Cost Plans. A bit about you

Alongside your relevant degree and/or experience of working in a relevant Commercial environment, we’d like you to have experience of working on large single or multiple smaller schemes with solid knowledge of civil engineering, specifically water. MCIOB or MRICS, ideally Incorporated member or working towards full membership is desirable. Strong IT skills including Excel, Word & Contractual and Cost Management Systems (CEMAR, Asite, Oracle). Working knowledge of standard forms of contract, in particular the NEC3/4 suite of Contracts. What else?
