We have a current requirement for a
Senior Development Engineer
to work in the team based in Shrewsbury. This will be working on Engines Transmission and powerpacks for a 12-month contract.
We are seeking a Senior Development Engineer to work on heavy transmissions for military product development. Essentially, a very experienced Mechanical engineer with Drivetrain or Hydraulics experience.
The ideal applicant must possess the following skills:
Sound knowledge of diesel engine and transmission operation and performance. Engineering degree OR HND with experience and excellent analytical skills. Experience on MOD projects. Experience with turbo systems. NVH experience. Ability to deliver work to clearly defined plans within tight timescales. Be prepared for travel globally working on military projects. Flexibility to handle multiple priorities and prepared to accept responsibility for area of experience and expertise. Sound understanding of integrated electronics and control systems (desirable).
We are looking for a contractor with previous experience in hydraulics and/or drivetrains for larger vehicles and would suit project experience in off-highways, aerospace, heavy, or military vehicles. As part of this role, 10% of the time, the successful person will be required to travel to Scandinavia as part of the development project.
