About the role: We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly skilled IT Lecturer to join its IT, Digital and Creative Department. ICT learner numbers are growing at the College and this trend is expected to continue as a result of the growing demand for digital skills development. As a result, we are now looking for an exceptional lecturer with a successful track record of consistently delivering high-quality teaching and learning to support our growth. The role will involve teaching our Computing and ICT courses, which currently include BTEC Level 2, BTEC Level 3, Level 3 T Level in Digital Production Design & Development and Access to Computing. The post holder may also be required to provide some Entry Level 3 and Level 1 delivery. This will include lesson preparation, classroom delivery, marking and delivering related tutorial activity. The ideal candidate will be an experienced educator with the ability to deliver a range of ICT subjects. They should have an excellent level of knowledge of at least two of the following: Programming (C++, Java, Python), Computer Games Development, Animation, Database Systems and Computer Networking. They will have a track record in delivering innovative and creative teaching and learning and possess an up-to-date and in-depth knowledge of the subject and of curriculum delivery. They will also have a passion for delivering student success and have the ability to use inspiring teaching methods and produce engaging teaching materials.
