Job Description A Technical Architect/Engineer is required for our client based in Leeds for an initial 3-year fixed term contract. This is a hybrid position, around 1 - 3 days on site (based on project demands and with some flexibility), therefore please only apply if you can commit to this. Overview Produce expert technical designs of new and amended technology solutions, delivering detailed specifications setting out required changes for networks, hardware, databases, Middleware, and security. Own the design creation of new or amended solutions, working closely with software developers to take a project from concept through to implementation readiness and transition to Live Services. Design, implement and maintain the systems required for delivery the objectives of your function to support the organisation in achieving its vision. Technical Duties Produce architectural system designs which are secure, resilient and consistent with the organisation's approved Technology Principles & Standards. Undertake technical and non-technical requirements gathering activities. Create proof of concepts to demonstrate solution viability. Identify integration and technical architecture opportunities for each assignment. Create and maintain highly detailed technical documentation for new systems, to enable teams to support, maintain and develop systems. Install, configure and maintain server hardware and operating services including Azure and other cloud virtualised infrastructure and on-premise implementations. Configure, centrally manage and secure the organisation's server and endpoint services using Microsoft Active Directory, Microsoft Intune & Microsoft 365. Configure and manage Microsoft SQL Server & Oracle databases. Ensure Microsoft 365 services are configured to allow secure collaboration internally and externally. Experience Technical architecture knowledge with an ability to integrate complex systems; understands the concepts of how interfaces work and can use them to manage the flow of data. Experience of designing and delivering live systems that use Microsoft Dynamics 365, Power Platform, SharePoint, Microsoft Azure and Power BI, in a complex organisation. Comprehensive experience of working with Microsoft Azure, networks, storage, security, backups, system troubleshooting and their life cycle management. ITIL V3/V4 qualification, AZ-104, desirable: A good level of knowledge of relational database management systems, .NET framework, C# and web development technologies to a standard can be understood and contained in solution designs. Microsoft Certified Professional qualification or equivalent experience. Practical experience of successfully performing with a broad range of technologies.
