Principal Firmware Engineer Location: Edinburg OR Newcastle Pay: Up to £70p/h (Inside IR35) Contract Duration: 6-months Responsibilities:

Design and development of Firmware using VHDL, verifying designs with VHDL or System Verilog, adhering to a structured firmware design process. Create innovative VHDL-based FPGA designs. Analyze system-level documents and derive detailed Firmware requirements. Utilize advanced verification techniques with VHDL or SystemVerilog/UVM. Manage the full firmware design lifecycle, ideally following a structured firmware process such as RTCA DO-254 or similar. Experience Required:

Degree in Electronics and Electrical Engineering, ideally specializing in FPGA/Digital techniques. Experience with Model Driven Engineering tools including MATLAB and Simulink. Proficient in debugging firmware designs and supporting system-related verification and integration. Knowledge of High-Speed Interface Design & Integration, including PCIe, DDR3, Ethernet. Familiarity with FPGA technologies from Xilinx, Altera, or Microsemi and their tools.
