Are you ready to lead the future of luxury automotive innovation? Aston Martin is seeking a visionary Principal Simulation Engineer to spearhead our Labcar simulation activities, supporting various vehicle lines with cutting-edge System & Software Integration testing.

As a

Principal Simulation Engineer , you will be at the forefront of advancing Labcar simulation and integration to support multiple vehicle lines. Your expertise will be pivotal in shaping our simulation capabilities, developing innovative test methodologies, and driving strategic improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

Simulation Leadership: Lead the development and implementation of advanced simulation models for Labcar systems, ensuring scalability and compatibility across vehicle platforms. Concept Design and System Integration: Define, design, and integrate Labcar model simulations to enhance testing efficiency and system accuracy. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align simulation capabilities with program needs. Test Methodology Development: Pioneer new test procedures and methodologies to optimize Labcar performance and reliability. Contribute to the strategic roadmap for testing and validation frameworks. Impact: This role requires a blend of technical expertise, leadership, and strategic thinking to deliver cutting-edge Labcar solutions that support our vehicle programs and set new benchmarks in testing innovation.

What You'll Be Doing: Simulation Model Development, System Integration and Collaboration, Stakeholder Engagement, Testing and Validation, Innovation and High-Visibility Projects, Technical Support and Troubleshooting, participate in training, workshops, and internal knowledge-sharing sessions to enhance technical expertise. Build and foster relationships

with stakeholders, ensuring the successful delivery of simulation projects. Introduce advanced simulation to an integration environment,

providing high visibility within AML. This role blends technical mastery, strategic innovation, and strong stakeholder collaboration to deliver impactful simulation solutions and drive visibility within AML. Key Requirements: Degree in

Electrical / Software Engineering or related discipline. Good understanding of

different vehicle domains. Experience in

building lab cars for PHEV or BEV platforms. Experience in building full vehicle representative Labcar and HIL simulation models covering

ADAS, BODY, MOTION CONTROL, HV. Proven track record in

model based and designing test environments. Advanced knowledge of

laboratory electrical instrumentation. Experience in working with dSPACE Scalexio, HV Battery Simulators, Real-Time Interface, FPGA Modules, Power Supply Units, Analog Input Board, Analog Output board, Digital I/O Modules, Multi I/O Board, CAN/CAN-FD, LIN, and FlexRay Modules, Ethernet Communication Modules, PWM and Encoder Modules, High Voltage Interface Modules, Control Desk, Configuration Desk, Model Desk, SYNECT, Automation Desk, Motion Desk, MATLAB/Simulink, ASM (Automotive Simulation Models), GNSS Simulators, Load Boxes, Breakout Boxes, Custom Relays, Custom Harness, Switches and Routers, Fault Insertion Unit (FIU), Power Management and Safety Equipment, Oscilloscope / PICOSCOPES, Programmable power supply.
