As our Head of Business Development, you will lead our Business Development team, oversee the ‘Win Work’ process, and collaborate with clients and internal teams to deliver exciting new work and drive growth. Your responsibilities

Support the CEO in the building and nurturing of robust relationships with potential and current clients, understanding their needs and challenges. Lead the business development team on a day to day basis, and work with wider internal teams to develop our accounts and campaigns and deliver new exciting work. To lead ownership of and be accountable for the “Win Work” process within Apache iX, developing relationships and gaining understanding of client needs and opportunities. Assess and qualify leads to determine their potential for conversion, ensuring focus remains on agreed business development objectives. Develop and lead the process for utilisation of all available business channels, including government sourcing portals, email outreach, LinkedIn, and networking events, to connect with prospects. Manage the Apache iX framework catalogue, actively identifying and refreshing our products and services across all appropriate commercial delivery frameworks. Continuously research and analyse market trends and competitors to identify emerging opportunities. Create and implement effective plans to attract new business clients for Apache products and services. Develop and execute a thorough lead generation strategy targeting potential business clients. Experience you’ll need

Proven experience in business development, with an extensive track record of successful lead generation and revenue growth. Understanding of the Defence and Security sector is essential, with knowledge of wider government desirable also. Existing directory of contacts to utilise in the development of new clients and opportunities. Bid Management knowledge, understanding and experience. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. A strategic mindset with creative problem-solving abilities. Willingness to learn and develop a career within a fast-growing SME. Proficiency in CRM processes and lead tracking, bid management tools and techniques. Strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively. Flexibility and adaptability for quick response and mobilisation on new opportunities. A passion for staying updated with industry trends. UK resident and right to work with (or ability to attain) SC vetting status (or higher) Willingness to travel to our offices (Emersons Green and central Bristol) and client sites.
