Head of Waste Management Consultancy

to spearhead the development of a new business line focused on delivering innovative waste management solutions across the UK and international markets. This is a London-based role with travel across the UK, paying £90K-£120K basic (DOE). What You'll Do:

Lead the Establishment

of a new waste management consultancy business, shaping its strategic direction and vision. Develop and Implement Business Strategies , from market entry to long-term growth, targeting high-profile clients and government bodies. Drive New Business Opportunities

by identifying and pursuing key projects, tenders, and partnerships in the waste management space. Build and Lead a High-Performing Team , nurturing talent and ensuring the delivery of high-quality, impactful projects. Oversee the

delivery of complex, multidisciplinary waste management projects , from strategic planning through to implementation. Ensure that projects meet client expectations while adhering to local legislation and global best practices. Represent the consultancy in key industry forums, networking events, and with regulatory bodies, establishing the company as a thought leader in the waste management sector. Work closely with senior stakeholders and clients to develop tailored solutions, ensuring sustainable outcomes across all projects. What We’re Looking For:

A

proven leader

with

15+ years of experience

in waste management or environmental consultancy, including significant exposure to strategic business development. In-depth knowledge of the

UK waste management sector , including legislative requirements, and a strong understanding of global waste management trends and technologies. Track record of setting up and growing a consultancy business , with expertise in building teams, acquiring clients, and managing large-scale projects. Strong experience in leading and delivering

complex, high-value waste management projects , particularly in areas such as waste-to-energy, recycling, and solid waste infrastructure. A degree in

Waste Management ,

Environmental Science , or related field (Master’s preferred). Chartered status

(e.g., MCIWM) is highly desirable. Strong networking skills and the ability to build relationships with key industry stakeholders, government bodies, and private-sector clients. Why Join?
