Your new company A large Edinburgh-based financial services company is looking to bring in an interim financial controller to support the finance team through bringing system integration and audit.

Your New Role: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated financial controller to join the Financial Operations Department. This pivotal role involves overseeing all aspects of revenue accounting, reporting, and forecasting. The successful candidate will ensure compliance with financial policies and alignment with the company's financial objectives. If you have a keen analytical mind, strong technical skills, and a passion for driving efficient revenue processes, then please get in touch.

What you need to succeed You will need a professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA) and 6–8 years of post-qualification experience in revenue accounting or financial reporting within the financial services sector. Strong knowledge of IFRS, advanced Excel skills, and proficiency with financial systems are essential. Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining robust revenue controls are crucial. You'll also need strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and provide training on revenue recognition principles. A proactive approach to process improvement and adaptability to changing business needs will help you excel in this role.
