Job Title: Principal Engineer - Systems & Transversal
Location: Plymouth (Primarily Remote with Occasional Site Visits)
Contract: 12 Months
Rate: £70 per hour (Inside IR35)
About the Role:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Principal Engineer - Systems & Transversal to support the delivery of key projects by providing expert engineering solutions. This role involves working remotely, with occasional visits to the Plymouth site, contributing to projects focused on safety-critical systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and update Design Substantiation Reports (DSR) using domain knowledge and experience.
Analyze existing concrete structures to ensure continued compliance with specified safety functional requirements.
Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on civil/structural engineering issues.
Required Skills and Experience:
Strong understanding of multi-disciplinary engineering activities, with a focus on safety.
Proficiency in modern analysis techniques for concrete nuclear structures, including finite element analysis.
Familiarity with UK laws and regulations pertaining to nuclear-licensed sites.
