Job Overview : We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Site Manager to oversee roofing and solar photovoltaic (PV) works at various project sites in Slough. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in roofing, solar PV installation, and project management, with a focus on ensuring that work is completed safely, on schedule, and within budget. Core Responsibilities

Manage day-to-day operations of roofing and solar PV projects, ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to high-quality standards. Supervise and coordinate on-site teams, including roofers, solar installers, and subcontractors. Ensure that all site activities comply with relevant health and safety regulations and company policies. Monitor and enforce quality control and ensure all works comply with technical specifications, building codes, and regulations. Implement and enforce site-specific health and safety plans. Conduct regular safety meetings, toolbox talks, and risk assessments. Ensure all workers on site are trained, qualified, and following health and safety protocols. Conduct site inspections to identify and address any potential hazards. Liaise with project managers to develop and implement project timelines and schedules. Ensure all materials, equipment, and resources are available on-site and well-managed. Coordinate with suppliers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to maintain smooth project flow. Report regularly on project progress, including milestones, delays, and any issues affecting timelines or budgets. Inspect and monitor the quality of work on-site, ensuring roofing and solar PV installations meet required standards. Perform detailed quality assurance checks on completed work before sign-off. Identify and resolve any issues related to workmanship or compliance. Maintain positive communication with clients and address any concerns or issues promptly. Provide regular progress updates to clients, ensuring transparency and building trust. Prepare and submit detailed reports on project progress, challenges, and completed work. Monitor project costs and ensure the project remains within budget. Track any changes to project scope and ensure variations are appropriately documented and approved. Assist in preparing and reviewing project cost estimates. Skills & Experience

Proven experience in managing roofing and solar PV installation projects, ideally within a commercial or residential setting. Strong background in roofing construction, including flat roofs, pitched roofs, and associated works. Knowledge of solar PV systems and their installation. Experience with electrical systems in relation to solar PV works is a plus. CSCS Card (Construction Skills Certification Scheme) is essential. SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) certification is preferred. Relevant qualifications in construction or a related field (NVQ, degree, etc.). Solar PV-specific certifications (e.g., MCS, NAPIT, or similar) would be advantageous. Personal Attributes
