two Senior Planning & Highways Lawyer roles . This is a fantastic opportunity for experienced legal professionals to play a vital role in delivering complex planning and highways legal work within a forward-thinking and ambitious local authority. The Opportunity Joining a high-performing Planning & Procurement Team, you will: Handle a diverse and complex caseload covering planning and highways matters such as enforcement, conservation, infrastructure levy, and more. Provide expert legal advice to senior managers, elected members, and committees. Supervise and mentor junior team members, ensuring high-quality service delivery. Represent the borough at courts, tribunals, and planning boards on critical development projects. This position offers a chance to work at the heart of exciting regeneration and housing delivery projects that will shape the borough’s future. Candidate Profile The successful candidate will be: A qualified solicitor, barrister, or chartered legal executive with a current practicing certificate. Experienced in advising on planning and highways law at a senior level. Skilled in supervising and developing junior team members. Comfortable managing high-pressure, high-profile legal matters.
