Road and Sewer design to adoptable standards (Typically but not limited to Section 38 / 278 & 104 / 185 Agreements of the relevant Highway and Water Acts) Flood alleviation schemes Flood risk assessments Earthwork, levels & Cut Fill schemes SUDS / swales / soakaway design / infiltration basins Competence with Civil 3D / Micro drainage / InfoDrainage Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate some or all the following: Enthusiastic professional who likes a challenge Desire to work in a busy and growing team and progress their career Experience in delivering and leading flood risk and/or surface water separation projects from concept through to construction Experience in writing reports and presenting to internal and external partners Experience in holding meetings with clients and leading design discussions Experience in working across multidisciplinary teams to deliver projects efficiently and effectively Experience or interest in developing Natural Flood Management solutions Understanding and experience in working with the NPPF Experience in IT systems such as ArcGIS, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and the Microsoft Office suite Educated to degree level or equivalent in a relevant field and Chartered with the ICE or CIWEM, or working towards achieving chartership Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, ability to work independently, and a collaborative approach Commitment to encouraging good health and safety practices within the workplace and design Team player displaying enthusiasm, flexibility, and versatility Ability to mentor, encourage, and support junior team members Desire to build upon existing experience and continue professional development Hold a full UK Driving License
