I am working with a forward looking accountancy practice in Bromsgrove who are urgently looking for an Accounting Supervisor for an immediate start. The role will entail working with local SMEs handling all their accounts and tax affairs. Key Responsibilities Conduct reviews of bookkeeping records. Review VAT submissions. Prepare and review management accounts. Prepare and review financial statements and sole trader accounts. Prepare and review corporation tax submissions. Draft advisory documents with support from senior management. Possess a solid understanding of personal tax, participating in annual personal tax filings for clients. Demonstrate a strong grasp of necessary disclosures. Manage a small portfolio of client's affairs. Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned clients. Communicate with clients regarding deadlines and specific requirements. Assist senior management with various deadlines, including those related to accounts, tax, VAT, payroll, and company secretarial duties. Understand client's principal activities and services offered. Communicate with clients to gather necessary information when needed. Build and maintain strong client relationships. Address ad hoc client inquiries related to financial matters, including result interpretation. Support clients in establishing and developing internal systems and controls, including the implementation of suitable accounting software. Confidently convey knowledge on tax and other matters to reassure clients. Attributes, Requirements, Skills

Minimum of 4 years of experience in an accounting practice. Professional qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, or equivalent). Experience in a supervisory or senior role is preferred. Commitment to maintaining high levels of technical knowledge. Proficient in MS Outlook, Word, and Excel. Familiarity with Iris, Alpha, QuickBooks, and Sage 50 is advantageous. General awareness of technology trends is beneficial. Self-motivated with the ability to adapt skills to new situations. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to work accurately and effectively under pressure. Excellent analytical and research capabilities. Package:
