Your new company You will work for a not-for-profit organisation that provides support to small local businesses. This agency offers a varied range of services and consultancy and plays an active part in business development at local, regional and national levels.

Your new role As Business Advisor you will work closely with small businesses, or those at the start-up stage, providing them with support and guidance around entrepreneurship. You will assist with Business Planning, helping up-and-coming entrepreneurs understand their market, competition and with particular emphasis on personal and business finances. Offering tailored support to entrepreneurs at all stages of their business journey, you will play a vital role in the development of the business idea/plan, forecasting, cashflow, budgeting and funding opportunities, helping them to achieve their business goals.

What you'll need to succeed A business or finance related degree or equivalent A good understanding of budgeting, cashflow and forecasting for business Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Confident and engaging with experience in a client-facing role Excellent IT skills This job could suit a recent business/finance graduate/newly qualified accountant OR a part-qualified accountant who is looking to utilise their skill set helping local businesses.
