Renfrewshire Council is looking to recruit an enthusiastic and skilled Early Learning and Childcare Officer. Main Duties:
Contribute to the provision of a safe, caring and stimulating nursery environment for all children. Implement a relevant curriculum in line with national and local guidance. Plan, record, implement and evaluate suitable programmes of activities. Maintain and record children’s assessment progress. Promote parental participation. Minimum Requirements:
It is essential you have experience of working or training in an early learning and childcare setting, an awareness of assessment and documentation of children’s learning in line with national and local guidance, and the ability to plan and deliver a relevant and inclusive curriculum. You must demonstrate knowledge of child development and the ability to work flexibly to meet the needs of the service. You must hold a relevant practice qualification in early learning and childcare such as HNC in Childhood practice at SCQF level 7 or SVQ Social Services (Children and Young People) at SCQF level 7 or equivalent. Successful applications must meet the registration requirements of SSSC as Practitioner of Day Care of Children Service within the designated timeline. If successful, you will be required to undertake a Disclosure Scotland check, the level of which will be determined by the duties of the post.
