Your new company A market leading Retail Group in Blackburn. Your new role An Interim Financial Reporting Manager role, reporting to the Financial Controller and leading a small team of staff. You will be responsible for developing consistent and accurate financial reporting for a division within the business. This will include leading the production of the monthly management accounts, quarterly reporting to investors and annual financial statements. You will also oversee the management accounts function and ensure strong financial control processes across the team. You will analyse working capital movements and the impact on the division's cash flow. You will also deliver the year-end management reporting pack and production of the local statutory accounts under FRS 101 and FRS 102. You will be a key point of contact for ad-hoc technical analysis, in relation to new accounting standards, acquisition accounting, and other changes to accounting policies. You will work with the finance management team on acquisition and disposal accounting and develop strong and effective working relationships with both UK Finance and Group. What you'll need to succeed You will be a fully qualified accountant with extensive financial reporting experience in a large and complex business. Strong analytical & organisational skills, ideally experience of consolidation and external reporting. You will have the ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a timely manner and collaborate effectively within a team on projects. You will have a proactive approach and enjoy improving systems and processes on an ongoing basis. You will be highly IT literate, with experience of large ERP systems, such as SAP or ORACLE and strong Excel skills. You will be available to start quickly and be happy to commit to an initial assignment of six months.
