Recently acquired by ExamWorksUK, we are committed to delivering outstanding health services and are seeking a highly skilled Group Financial Controller to join our team. The Group Financial Controller will report directly to the Group Managing Director and play a crucial role in shaping our financial strategy. We are looking for an experienced financial leader who can drive performance, ensure compliance, and support decision-making at the board level. The successful applicant will have a recognised Chartered Accountancy qualification from ACA, ACCA or CIMA. This is an exciting opportunity to lead the financial operations of a growing group of businesses in the health sector. You will have the chance to make a significant impact on our strategic direction and work closely with a dynamic team. Key Responsibilities Develop and implement a comprehensive finance strategy aligned with the group's overall business objectives Guide decision-making through monthly board meetings and oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis processes Provide insightful reports that support key decision-making and ensure compliance with relevant financial standards Ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial statements, including management accounts, statutory accounts, and tax returns Manage risk and cash flow for the group, ensuring financial integrity and sustainability Foster a collaborative, results-oriented culture within the finance team, including the management of the Group Finance Manager and Management Accountant Qualifications and Experience Proven track record of financial leadership within the UK, with experience in statutory reporting and compliance. Previous involvement with UK boards is advantageous, particularly experience working closely with an Audit Committee. Advanced financial modelling and forecasting skills are essential Strong knowledge of UK tax legislation and compliance (corporation tax, VAT, PAYE) Proficient in UK accounting software (Sage, Xero, QuickBooks) and possess advanced Excel and data visualization skills. Strong commercial acumen, integrity, and ability to build collaborative relationships at all levels. If you are ready to take on a challenging and rewarding role, we would love to hear from you.
