Maintenance & Engineering Team Leader - Stourton Dairy

Able to lead and set objectives to an experienced team of engineers and drive towards maintenance excellence Are you able to galvanise the team around great maintenance principles, and effectively utilise resources to deliver improved safety, quality, and performance within a large production site? Do you have the ambition and energy ready to take a leading role in mentoring, coaching and developing colleagues within your team to deliver maintenance & operational excellence through cross functional collaboration? Key responsibilities Champion health, safety, environmental regulations, deliver Maintenance Excellence with the engineering team, inspire a food safety and quality mindset at site. Use SAP PM to develop, plan and implement preventative & corrective maintenance programs in line with departmental strategy. Identify opportunities for process and operational improvement and efficiency gains with a Lean mindset, and implements best practices. Manages the delivery of targets to ensure the department achieves its goals. Leads the team with Root Cause techniques and coordinates effective resource prioritisation in consultation with other functional leads. Ensures that the department complies with Arla Foods’ standards and policies as well as the applicable law. Leads, coaches and develops colleagues based on good leadership and core values. Is a role model for digital transformation, works with data driven decision making and promotes a digital mindset within the team Contributes to process confirmation to support the APS transformation. Monitor and analyse maintenance metrics and KPIs, communicates effectively to report on status of lines and equipment. Procure and manage maintenance supplies and equipment, optimising resource allocation and utilisation. Completes and updates plant maintenance records complying with all departmental procedures. Defines resources required, work planning and employee scheduling. Performs all activities in accordance with company and statutory requirements in order to provide a safe and compliant workplace. Embraces and ensures that Arla Digital WOW is communicated and embedded within the department. Grow with Arla Professional qualification across an engineering discipline (NVQ level 3/ equivalent or higher). You are a motivated team player, with drive and ambition. You will fully understand all statutory law requirements, contractor control regulations and have commercial nonce in effective use of budget and resources available. Having in depth knowledge and experience with the T.P.M programme, WCM tool, CMMS system with S.A.P PM knowledge and Office 365 skills would be highly advantageous. Preferably leadership experience with a fast paced regulated environment and bring colleagues on a positive journey. Knowledge, experience and able to demonstrate LEAN ways of working/practice. Producing over 200 SKUs across 14 filling lines – including our great brands of Cravendale & BoB filtered milk, Baileys, McDonald’s and all the major retailers. Stourton has recently received around £50 million investment in new line technology and our processing capability, with much more coming to site.
