DC Personnel are representing a successful manufacturing business in Leicester who are excited to grow their Health & Safety department by adding a new team member to support their business. The business employs over 150 staff across both its branch locations in Leicester. This is a key role for someone who can balance operational safety with strategic planning, ensuring a culture of safety and compliance at all levels. Salary: £(phone number removed) per annum (DOE). To be considered for the higher rate, a minimum of 5 years of experience is required. Hours: Monday to Friday 07:00-15:30 Key Responsibilities: Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive health and safety policies and procedures. Responsible for accident investigations and take precautions to prevent reoccurrence. Manage and coordinate Employee wellbeing, working alongside the HR Team. Conduct regular risk assessments, safety audits, and site inspections to identify and mitigate hazards. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and industry standards. Liaise with regulatory bodies and external auditors on all health and safety matters. Lead safety training programs and workshops for employees at all levels. Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses, preparing reports and recommending corrective actions. Collaborate with management to promote a strong health and safety culture throughout the organization. What We're Looking For: NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent certification is essential. A good understanding of occupational health, COSHH, WEEE Regs & DSEAR. A degree or diploma in Health and Safety, Occupational Health, or a related field is desirable. Experience of working in H&S within a manufacturing environment. Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations. Leadership ability, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to identifying and solving safety challenges. A confident and friendly manner with the ability to liaise with people at all levels. Personable and empathetic nature. Ability to handle and safeguard sensitive and confidential information. Working knowledge of MS Office packages.
