This is a permanent position to replace a dayworked by one of our partners, who is reducing their working sessions. We would like the successful candidate to beable to start in April 2025; at present, there is no closing date because weare prepared to wait for the right candidate. They must have the required experience to lead and supervise ourpractice clinical team on the day that they are working, including our trainees. Our typical clinical day is twenty-five,15-minute appointments, with patients being given an informed choice offace-to-face or telephone consultation. However, when supervising our trainees we reduce that by a third andwhen working as the sole GP we reduce the afternoon appointments too. We receive very few online consultationrequests, we do not provide fire-fighting on call sessions and most homevisits are provided by the local Acute Visiting Service. On most days, repeat prescriptions areprocessed by our clinical pharmacists and our other clinical admin is filteredby the PCN's clinical admin hub. About us
We are a small practice off our part-time general practitioners (two partners, one salaried and one regular locum), two advanced nurse practitioners, two clinical pharmacists, one practice nurse, one healthcare assistant and one GP assistant, committed to providing high quality, friendly and personal primary care. We are also a training practice, hosting resident doctors (GP and foundation trainees) and student doctors. One of our partners is a Clinical Lead for NHS Cheshire and Merseyside and the other is the Chair of Sefton Local Medical Committee. We are a committed member of Southport and Formby Primary Care Network (PCN) and of Southport & Formby Health GP Federation, where we have access to a wider clinical workforce and a clinical admin hub. We place a high value on our work-life balance so when somebody in the NHS says jump we do not immediately ask how high? Job responsibilities
