Head of HR - About you
Extensive experience of leading a HR function, and delivering both strategic and operational HR within a Logistics or manufacturing environment. CIPD qualified or equivalent. Previous experience of developing and delivering a HR strategy. Previous experience of managing a HR team. Previous experience in leading in engagement, talent, and succession. Exceptional at building relationships, communication & excellent leadership skills. Experienced in working within a heavily unionised environment. Change management experience to include restructure and TUPE. Strong working knowledge of UK employment law.
Reporting into the CEO, you will have a team of 5 reporting into yourself, so management experience is crucial. You will be responsible for the strategic direction of the sites with the aim of improving people engagement across the business as they go through a period of growth and acquisition. You will develop effective working relationships with department managers, senior partners, and with the Trade Unions. Partnering with company leaders and HR professionals to lead growth, to ensure the achievement of organisational goals and objectives. Some travel is required within the role.
