Aspiring Clinical Psychologist Location: Croydon Salary: £100.00 - £110.00 Daily Start Date: Immediate About the Role: Aspiring Clinical Psychologist - Croydon Are you an aspiring Clinical Psychologist eager to gain valuable hands-on experience working with children in a school setting? A wonderful Primary School in Croydon is looking for a learning support assistant to join their Mainstream Primary School to help nurture Children in KS1 & KS2 with additional needs such as ADHD and ASD. Key Responsibilities: Aspiring Clinical Psychologist - Croydon * Provide one-on-one and group support for children with SEN, including those with autism, ADHD, learning disabilities, and emotional/behavioral challenges. * Assist in the implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs) and support strategies tailored to the needs of each child. * Observe and record children's behavior, progress, and emotional development, offering insights that contribute to interventions and care plans. * Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCO (Special Educational Needs Coordinator), and other staff members to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment. * Support children during lessons, helping to modify tasks and provide additional resources where needed. * Assist in delivering small-group interventions, focusing on social, emotional, and cognitive development. * Participate in team meetings, contributing to discussions around student progress and strategies for improvement. About You: Aspiring Clinical Psychologist - Croydon Academics are looking for someone who is passionate about working with children, particularly those with SEN, and is eager to develop their career in clinical psychology or related fields. The ideal candidate will demonstrate the following: * A strong interest in child psychology, SEN, or educational psychology. * Experience working with children in an educational or care setting (desirable but not essential). * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children, staff, and parents. * A proactive and empathetic approach, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. * A relevant qualification or experience in psychology, education, or a related field (e.g., degree in psychology, childcare, or special educational needs). * Patience, resilience, and a positive attitude to challenges.
