Senior Design Engineer
| Sheffield | Hybrid up to £45,000 The Opportunity: Are you a Design Engineer, ready to manage your own projects from cradle to grave? With their order book growing, this bespoke engineering manufacturer needs an ambitious Design Engineer to manage an array of projects (supported by the Project Engineers). This is a chance for you to expand your skillset, gaining: Exposure to the full lifecycle of a product, from inception, quote, design, manufacture, fitment, to delivery to customer. Exposure to a diverse, bespoke product range (automotive, rail, energy, aerospace). Exposure to managing projects autonomously (with some support from Project Engineer). See your designs in 3D CAD come to life, their usability, and how they perform, getting involved in their manufacture hands-on on the shop floor. Grow a commercial knowledge, providing sales quotations and liaising with customers. The Candidate: Design Engineer (ideally with experience working on projects within Fixing/tooling/bespoke design work/sheet metal). Mechanical Engineering experience (degree preferred or qualified by experience). 3D CAD experience. Hands-on experience – e.g. hand tools/lasers. Working Pattern: Based at Sheffield site. Hybrid working model with flexible hours - able to manage hours autonomously (after probation).
