We are looking for an experienced HGV Workshop Controller to lead our workshop team in Taunton. This full-time role offers a competitive salary of £55,000 and is perfect for an organized and proactive individual with strong leadership skills and an extensive background in HGV maintenance. The successful candidate will oversee daily workshop operations, ensuring that all repairs and services are completed to high standards of safety, efficiency, and quality. Key Responsibilities:

Workshop Management:

Oversee day-to-day operations in the HGV workshop, ensuring work is allocated efficiently to maximize productivity and maintain high service standards. Team Leadership:

Supervise and support a team of HGV Technicians, providing guidance, training, and motivation to ensure quality work and a positive work environment. Quality Control:

Conduct final inspections and quality checks on completed work to ensure all repairs meet company and regulatory standards. Job Scheduling and Prioritization:

Manage and prioritize work orders, coordinating with the service and parts departments to ensure timely completion of all repairs and maintenance. Customer Liaison:

Communicate with customers as needed, providing updates on vehicle status, repair needs, and timelines to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction. Health & Safety Compliance:

Enforce health and safety protocols in the workshop, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and fostering a safe working environment. Record Keeping and Reporting:

Maintain accurate records of work orders, repairs, and parts usage, generating regular reports for management. Qualifications and Skills:

Experience:

Proven experience as an HGV Workshop Controller or senior HGV Technician with leadership responsibilities. Technical Knowledge:

Strong understanding of HGV diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance processes, with the ability to oversee complex repairs. Leadership Skills:

Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and develop a team, with a commitment to high standards and efficiency. Organizational Skills:

Strong planning and scheduling abilities, ensuring that all work is completed within set timeframes and quality standards. Communication Skills:

Excellent interpersonal skills, capable of effectively communicating with both team members and customers. Benefits:
