This is an exciting position where you will work with a range of sole traders, partnerships and ltd companies, providing them with a mixed statutory account, management accounts and tax service.
Responsibilities
Preparation of Management Accounts:
Ensure timely and accurate reporting for a diverse range of SME clients. Assisting with Financial Statements:
Support the preparation of statutory accounts for clients. Corporation Tax and Self-Assessment Tax Returns:
Prepare tax computations for directors and companies for review by the Corporate Tax Manager. Liaising with Clients and HMRC:
Provide excellent communication and support on behalf of clients to ensure compliance and resolve queries. Improving Processes:
Proactively identify opportunities to enhance the efficiency of processes and workflows within the team. Training and Mentoring:
Assist in the development of junior team members, fostering a collaborative and supportive working environment.
Requirements
Qualifications:
Qualified, part-qualified or qualified by experience with at least 3 years of experience in accounts and management accounts. Personal Attributes:
Energetic, ambitious, and committed to continuous personal development with a growth mindset. Technical Knowledge:
Strong understanding of accounting principles and standards, with knowledge of tax laws and regulations. Cloud Accounting:
Experience with cloud-based accounting software is essential, preferably QuickBooks and Xero.
