Responsibilities: Overseeing and allocating work to Service Technicians, ensuring adherence to manufacturer guidelines and quality standards Proactively planning workshop capacity to maximize productivity and reduce downtime Providing technical support and guidance to staff and customers, maintaining a high standard of technical expertise Ensuring all repairs and services meet customer expectations and comply with safety and quality standards Monitoring training needs, conducting quality checks, and driving continuous improvement within the team Supporting the service administration team to deliver exceptional customer experiences Accurately interpret job cards/repair orders and ensure compliance with quality procedures Manage workshop tools and equipment, ensuring proper maintenance and calibration Communicate effectively with the Parts Department, customers, and Technical Service Advisors to resolve delays or additional requirements Keep the workshop clean, safe, and organised while maintaining company property Achieve company and personal targets while adhering to health and safety regulations

Minimum Requirements: Previous experience in a similar Workshop Controller role A deep understanding of vehicle servicing and repair processes Strong background in people management within an automotive workshop Fluent in English with excellent communication skills (verbal and written) Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Excel; familiarity with Pinewood or 1Link is a plus GCSE English and Maths (or equivalent) Ability to plan, prioritise, and multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment Ensuring high standards of workmanship and accuracy in reporting Ability to build strong relationships with internal teams and customers
