Assistant Management Accountant: An important role within a large team, this is a broad and interesting opportunity. Working closely with an experienced Management Accountant and ultimately reporting to the Senior Management Accountant, the successful candidate will liaise with colleagues in multiple areas of the business, and supports other members of the finance team. Key responsibilities to include: - Play a key role in the preparation of monthly management accounting and reporting - Maintenance of nominal ledger accounts - Analysis of overhead spending - Reconciliation of balance sheet accounts - Assisting all members of the finance team - Transactional processing and journal entries (company credit cards etc.) - Prepayment and accruals postings For this role we seek a candidate with at least 18 months of recently gained general finance experience ideally, though not essentially, gained with a manufacturing business. Applicants may be AAT qualified, working towards a professional qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA), or with relevant vocational experience (QBE). The successful candidate should possess good MS Excel skills and a strong aptitude for grasping modern accounting ERPs (the company currently utilises MS Dynamics AX). Whilst strong technical accounting skills are obviously a given, our client has made strong emphasis on the importance of personable and team-working qualities.
