a Senior Electrical/Civils Estimator

to work within our Net Zero Electric Vehicle (EV) Charging business for Clients across the UK. As a

Senior Electrical/Civils Estimator , you will be part of our

EV Business

who are responsible for the Design & Delivery of EV Charging, Solar and Battery storage installations as one-off projects and within long term framework agreements with several key Charge Point Operators. The EV sector is a key area of growth for Morrison Energy Services. We are looking to build our existing team to take advantage of the extensive opportunities within the EV sector that will result from not only business as usual work activities, but also additional works that will result from the journey to Net Zero. As the Senior Electrical Estimator your responsibilities will include: Assessment of bid opportunities leading to a bid / no-bid review including assessing key project data and client criteria Assess and evaluate any project risks and potential problems Responsible for checking the accuracy and completeness of clients tender documents Review tender documentation and determine a project's technical requirements Responsible for the overall estimate of project cost based upon client specification and technical requirements Determining the Electrical/Civils BoQ for pricing Assist in the technical and estimating element of preparation of tender and quotations from specification and drawings within defined time periods in conjunction with the procurement and commercial support team, liaise with Sub-contractors and suppliers to obtain the best available quotations Evaluation and pricing of options and alternatives Completion of all company procedure documents and financial information for governance prior to submission of tender Assist in the preparation of tender submission Assist in post tender presentations and meetings with the client Produce formal handover documentation on accepted work. Attend handover meetings where required and explain project scope, estimate, clarifications and assumptions Support completion of all company procedure documents and financial information Support review and peer review of all projects as part of the estimating team Work alongside other members of the team to ensure effective delivery of targets Skills & Knowledge Requirements:

A background in electrical/ICP/civil estimating. Extensive experience of delivering capital projects. Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to communicate effectively and work with staff at all levels. Knowledge of how electrical infrastructure is constructed, operated, maintained. An appreciation of National Grid and DNO Standards Experienced in building up rates from first principles. Computer literate (Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint). The ability and desire to identify opportunities for improvement, and influence change. To be able to react to constantly changing workloads. Excellent people management skills. Strong commercial acumen and knowledge of forms of contract Organised with a high attention to detail Understanding of the planning and sequencing of construction projects What's in it for you?
