These replacement posts are offeredon a full time (10 PA) basis although less than full time applications will beconsidered. Duties will be based primarily onour Pinderfields hospital site in Wakefield although all our medical staff areinvolved in delivering care to patients on all our 3 hospital sites. In addition to routine infectioncare, there are opportunities to be involved in a number of different areas ofcare delivery in the Trust, by arrangement with the clinical lead: Specific leadershipof a clinical area - to be agreed after discussion with colleagues, including: Haematology Orthopaedics Burns Infection control Water safety,theatre ventilation and food safety leads Antimicrobialstewardship (alongside our AMS pharmacy team) Community IVantibiotic provision Research With evolution of the service there is a potentialfuture opportunity to be involved with the delivery of TBand Non-tuberculous mycobacteria infection care. Opportunities alsoexist to develop services in HIV and infectiousdiseases. Initially it is expected that this role willbe distributed to largely deliver medical microbiologyrelated care(including e.g. OPAT, bone and joint infection), withopportunity to discussion going arrangementsafter appointment. GMC Registration
