We're have an excellent opportunity for a Senior Project Quantity Surveyor to join our North East business in a key role that will be commercial lead on a new build education project in Amble, with involvement from pre construction through on site delivery.

Location : Amble / Newcastle

Hours : Full Time, Permanent

What will you be responsible for?

Days are always varied within construction but your day to day may include:

Advising on financial feasibility of projects at early stages.

Organising the division of project into component work packages for procurement.

Assessing returns from sub-contractors and awarding work packages.

Negotiating with sub-contractor supply chain to achieve best value.

Managing applications for payment from sub contractors

Preparation of applications for payment to clients.

Monitoring and measuring actual expenditure against budgeted project expenditure in the form of CVR (Cost Value Reconciliation Reports)

Preparation of final accounts

What are we looking for?

This role of Senior Project Quantity Surveyor is great for you if:

Can demonstrate experience working on large 2 stage bids

Strong Knowledge of NEC and JCT conditions

Prior experience of working within the main contractor environment

Strong knowledge of project commercial management

Comfort in dealing with client reps, sub contractors and internal stakeholders
