Assistant Insurance Manager

to join our in-house insurance team. This role offers the unique opportunity to contribute to the progressive management of our insurance program, protecting the business while minimising the cost of insurance risk. What You’ll Be Doing: Insurance Renewals & Services Manage the end-to-end insurance renewal process alongside the Group Insurance Manager. Communicate and negotiate with insurers, brokers, and risk consultants to secure cost-effective, comprehensive coverage. Providing Expert Insurance Advice Evaluate and advise on insurance coverage and commercial contracts. Identify, assess, and recommend solutions for new and evolving insurable risks. Risk Inspection Programme Organise and oversee risk inspections, addressing improvements to protect business operations. Claims Management Supervise claims notification processes across various insurance types, ensuring timely reporting and effective resolution. Regularly review claims handling services to improve processes. Building Key Relationships Work closely with brokers, insurers, legal advisors, and internal departments like Finance, HR, and Health & Safety. Maintain a pulse on market trends to support renewal negotiations. What We’re Looking For: Proven experience in insurance (insurer, broker, or in-house). Expert knowledge of diverse insurance types, from liability and motor to D&O and healthcare. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. High level of integrity, resilience, and a problem-solving mindset. A formal insurance or risk management qualification (or working towards one).
